ROBERT GIBBS' UNDERHANDED JOKE

Premier Obama's chief propagandist Robert Gibbs took a shot at Sarah Palin's now infamous crib notes last week. This comes from a guy who couldn't find the bathroom in his own house without a detailed map and couldn't use it without directions. It's not unfair to poke fun at Palin for writing notes on her hand. It doesn't mean she (or anyone else who has done the same thing, i.e. Diane Feinstein) is stupid, but it does look funny, and is something that would be easily lampooned by comedians and on shows like Saturday Night Live. For the spokesperson of the President of the United States, the highest office in the land and the most powerful person in the world, doing so especially while at the podium with the White House logo behind you is beneath that position. Then again, what else can we expect from Shecky Gibbs.

BAY STATE SAVES AMERICA

Scott Brown becomes the 41st vote for liberty in the otherwise socialist U.S. Senate defeating Martha Coakley 52% to 47% to take over the seat held by Ted Kennedy for 47 years. Thank you, Massachusetts! Good-bye, Obama-care!

BLAGO -VS- HARRY

Based on the foolish comments each of these "gentlemen" made in regards to President Obama's "blackness," I just can't help but ask...

UPDATE:

CHICAGO SAYS NO WAY TO USA

FOR WORLD CUP

READ THE STORY HERE AND SEE IF YOU DON'T GET SICK TRYING TO FOLLOW THIS TWISTED LOGIC BY CITY OFFICIALS.

USA SAYS NO WAY TO CHICAGO

FOR WORLD CUP

US Soccer's bidding committee chose the 18 cities that will be eligible to host games should the USA be chosen to host the 2018 or 2022 World Cup finals. All of the cities chosen have stadiums with a capacity larger than 65,000 seats. Soldier Field holds about 63,000. Its still completely bogus. Beyond the stadium itself, you need a city that will attract visitors. Chicago is the country's third largest city and has so many other things going on that most of these other choices just do not. Why would anyone go to Phoenix, especially in the summer? If they get it, make sure to put England there so all their hooligan fans will be too burned to fight. Of course, if it's too hot for the games, they have a dome, so they can control the climate there if needed. I don't quite get Atlanta either. Indianapolis? Close enough to Chicago with a big domed stadium. Baltimore and D.C. aren't both going to be in the final 12, so why include them as separate entries for the final 18. The same could be said for Los Angeles and San Diego. How can San Diego have a chance with L.A. being the 2nd largest market and so close to San Diego. Nashville is a joke of a choice as well. Dolly Parton will stuff the official ball in her shirt because she may be deflated by the time 2018 rolls around. The worst choice of all is Kansas City. It's a miracle that they still have an MLS entry. They drew flies in cavernous Arrowhead Stadium just to move into the state of Kansas and play in a cracker jack minor league ballpark. You can blame US Soccer (which has its headquarters in Chicago but seems to give the city the short end of the stick at most every turn), Mayor Daley for not building a stadium with more capacity and rather having more parks around the facility than seats as well all the landmark morons who wanted to keep the colonnade so badly that we had to build a stadium within its walls and still got it taken off the landmark list. Also blame the Bears, who play only 10 times there not counting playoffs (not that it's been an issue the last few years) because they didn't want to be displaced for more than one season. If we built a new stadium of at least 70,000 with a retractable dome, we'd have a decent field and could get the World Cup, Super Bowl, and Final Four. Daley, to his credit, did want a retractable dome when the talks about fixing Soldier Field first started.Leave it to Chicago to "F" this up. Daley probably doesn't even care since he lost his Olympic mojo. It's a shame, for sure.

McLOSER

Tainted slugger Mark McGwire comes "clean" to Bob Costas during an interview on MLB Network. I dare say it comes a bit late much like the gambler Pete Rose's confession of gambling a few years ago when his book came out. You had your chance in front of Congress to be at least a sort of stand up guy. Now that you've been hired as hitting instructor for the Cardinals (I hope Tony LaRussa will reconsider that choice) you felt compelled to come out because you knew you were going to be asked about steroids every single day until you admitted your widely believed use. On top of that, he told Costas that he wished there was testing during his career, and he was sorry that he played in that era. You couldn't choose for there to be testing or when you were born and when your career was goin gon, but you could have chosen not to use steriods starting in 1993 and continuing on for the rest of your playing days. He also claimed he didn't use high doses and didn't remember the actual names of the steroids while stating that he didn't feel it helped his performance. He just didn't want his body to wear down. If you believe all that, I have a bridge filled with steroids to sell you. Mark McGwire is a fool, and will never be enshrined in the Hall of Fame nor should he. In fact, MLB Commissioner Bud Selig should show he is in charge of this sport and ban him from the game because we can't have a guy like this in a club house every day without there being suspicion on every player he comes in contact with. He shouldn't be in the dugout. He shouldn't be in baseball.

DOPE ATTACKS POPE

Midnight Mass at the Vatican turned into a midnight messwhen some orange clad Swiss-Italian nut job named Susanna Maiolo jumped the barricade and pulled down Pope Benedict XVI during the procession to the altar to start the Christmas Eve liturgy. Some poor 87-year old French Cardinal broke his hip from the incident and had to undergo surgery in Rome. Breaking your hip is bad enough but surgery in Italy is just too much to deal with. I know Benedict's predecessor Pope John Paul II forgave his would be assassin years ago, but I wish they'd teach the current and future Pontiffs how to use their staff and hat as protective mechanisms. Put a bayonette at the bottom of the staff, and he can even pick up garbage along the way to help the environment to show it's not purely a weapon. Sharpen the edges on the hat so he can take it off, fold it up, and throw it like one of those Chinese stars. I don't want the Pope to turn into a vigilante, but I don't want him to be a sitting duck for any and every wacko and "Swiss Miscreant" with strong legs and an empty head who gets an aisle seat in St. Peter's Basilica. Way to get back up Pope B 16. Don't mess with the Germans. They have ways of making you pay for stuff like this. Frohe Weihnachten, Douchebeutel!

HOLD YOUR BREATH:

CO2 CONSIDERED POLLUTION

The EPA (Environmental Propaganda Agency) has taken the Clean Air Act and run wild threatening to control carbon dioxide emissions in the Congress doesn't pass cap and trade in the very near future. Al Gore says it's a proven fact that CO2 traps heat. OK. Thanks, Al. Your point? Without CO2 nothing grows. Everyone talks about "Greenhouse" gases. You know what greenhouses do? They allow plant life to grow in places where they normally wouldn't. Our atmosphere acts as a greenhouse for that reason. Outer space is kind of cold. You should know that, Al, since every time you use a Q-tip it ends up with an icicle on it. You and your friends are frauds. You're right that there is climate change. It's called "the seasons!" Maybe you've heard of them. As for the EPA, they have no authority to do what they've threatened. If we're going to turn pinko, can't we at least do it in a democratic way by the morons we've voted into office passing legislation? What's going on is ridiculous and will change our lives forever if we don't stand up now and through the next election and beyond. Our liberty is at stake. You CAN fight city hall. WE ARE CITY HALL! Anyone who even has an inkling of voting for cap and trade or forcing any "green jobs" crap down our throats should be voted out. Let the green jobs develop on their own. If their product proves viable and affordable, people will buy it. If it doesn't, then it serves no purpose and people will ignore it. It's the beauty of the market place. Try it some time. It's the reason we have been so free and successful for over 230 years.

OBAMA HOSTS INDIAN P.M.

FOR 1ST STATE DINNER

I WONDER IF VP JOE BIDEN TOOK HIM TO 7-11 & DUNKIN' DONUTS FOR DESSERT.

U.S. AG DECIDES TO TRY KSM IN NYC FOR WTC ATTACK; WTF?

Attorney General and Stedman look-a-like Eric Holder has decided to try 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other Guantanamo Bay detainees in U.S. Federal court rather than military tribunals like his boss President Obama is doing for other detainees and like presidents have done with enemy combatants in the past. Why is he doing this? Is it to put the policies of the Bush Administration on trial? Is it to show the world that we are a civil society that gives a fair shake even to our worst enemies? Is it because he is a complete moron who wouldn't know history or what's best for the country's safety if it bit him in the ass? I leave that for you to decide. I think this is a bad idea. Some say it's appropriate to try these men so close to the scene of their atrocity, but that's a lame excuse. I say try them in the military setting and then EXECUTE them on the site of the World Trade Center if you really want to be appropriate.

Since they will be tried within our borders and in our justice system, some people think this will turn into a media circus. With that in mind, I pose this  poll question to you:

NOBEL NOT SO NOBLE

PRESIDENT OBAMA WINS PEACE "SUR"PRIZE

10/11/09

Nominated after only 12 days on the job and awarded the prize after 9 months, Barack Obama's first peace achievement is winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Must be pretty easy to win this thing. Then again, a terrorist like Yasser Arafat won the award. Al Gore also was a winner a couple years ago for perpetuating his anti-capitalist rouse of man-made global warming. Even the worst president of the 20th century and anti-Semite Jimmy Carter, who legitimized many election in Chavez's incorruptible Venezuela and similar countries while questioning both victories by George W. Bush, took home the prize. After 9 months of his "leadership," Afghanistan is teetering as he twiddles his thumbs, we're still in Iraq, North Korea has launched test missiles over Japan many times, Iran is about 5 minutes away from getting "THE BOMB," democracy loving people in Iran are killed in the streets protesting a fixed election without a word of support from the honoree, a legitimate new democratically and legally elected administration in Honduras is spurned by the dear leader in favor of the deposed dictator, who has no legal right to continue as the Central American country's leader. That's a hell of a resume, but hey, at least he's willing to talk! That sure is doing a lot of good. I feel more peaceful now. Congratulations, Barry the peace-talker. Send the $1.4 million prize back to the taxpayers, by the way.

TEDDY LAID TO REST

(8/30/09)

Rain poured down in Boston during the funeral of Sen. Edward M. Kennedy on August 29. Some felt the settig was appropriate for a mournful day for many in the city and throughout the country. Some even went as far as to say that the heavens were crying over the passing of Sen. Kennedy. I think it was just God doing Chappaquiddick victim Mary Jo Kopechne a favor so Teddy would also be in a water logged coffin.

ADIOS, TEDDY

(8-26-09)

SEN. EDWARD M. KENNEDY

1932-2009

I'm not trying to celebrate the death of anyone, but I have to be happy that there are no more Kennedys in the Senate. Trust me, it's a good thing and a long time coming. Only two years since 1953 has the U.S. Senate been free from Kennedy influence. I don't think we're better for that streak. Let's move forward from the lies of "Camelot" and elect good people, not fake royalty. Rest in peace.

TED KENNEDY:

LIBERAL "HIPPO-CRITE" 'TIL THE END

(8/21/09)

The long-time Massachusetts senator, who is suffering ill health, is worried about what will become of the health care bill should he pass on before a vote is taken on the measure in the U.S. Senate. He wants to make sure that Massachusetts has a full compliment of two senators, so he wrote a letter to state elected officials to change a state law passed in 2004 that requires a special election when a senate seat is vacated. That process would take five months to fill the seat. The law was changed from the Governor appointing a successor to the special election to avoid the chance of then-Governor Republican Mitt Romney nominating one of those dastardly Republicans to take over John Kerry's seat had he won that fall's presidential race over George W. Bush. How presumptuous. Now that Mr. Kennedy is so close to seeing his dream of universal health care fulfilled and the possibility that he may not be able to vote on it due to his failing health coupled with the fact that his vote may very well be needed, he now wants the law changed back. He called for the law to be changed so that Democrat Governor Deval Patrick can quickly nominate a loyal socialist, I mean Democrat, to the post. Kennedy says he wants there to be no delay so as to have full representation for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate. What a bunch of crap! He doesn't want to put the choice in the people's hands because he sees the people revolting against the Obama agenda and is worried about that backlash leading to a GOP victory in a big blue state. If he was really worried about the people being underrepresented, then why didn't he resign last year when he found out he was that sick so the special election could have been resolved by now and probably with a result he would like? Because he wants power as long as he can hold onto it. Now that he knows he can't he must do all that he can to guarantee another Democrat not just a senator. Well, at least he's consistently hypocritical. Congratulations on doing your best to further ruin the country one last time on your way out! By the way, happy belated 40th anniversary of Chappaquiddick, Teddy. NICE BOOBS, TOO!

CA$H FOR CLUNKERS CLOSES EARLY

(8/21/09)

UPDATE: IT'S OVER ON AUGUST 24, @ 7 PM

Someone needs to get these people a calendar. Remember the $2 Billion that was approved at the beginning of August that was supposed to last until Labor Day? Well, nevermind. THEY RAN OUT OF MONEY AGAIN! Will we ever learn that the government can't keep a budget to save their lives. Now Obama's crew called an end to their "successful" program scheduled for Monday evening. Not only hasn't the money lasted, but the stimulating effect it was to have on the dealers has yet to be felt because the government is so slow in processing the rebates. Dealers are lopping off $4,500 right off the top of the car price and not getting the money back from the government. It's easy to move cars if you give them away, but it's hard to make any money doing that. What does the government care? It's not their money that they're slow to give away. It's not their business that may go under if they don't get money to turn the lights on or pay their workers. Government is always quick to allocate money but slow to actually produce and deliver it to whom it is promised. Gotta love the government. They'd screw up a two-car funeral.

UPDATE:OBAMA SIGNS $2 BILLION MORE FOR PROGRAM

President Obama gets his wish and says this infusion of extra cash will keep the program running through Labor Day. So let me get this straight: $1 Billion only lasted 4 days, but $2 Billion should last a whole month. Yeah, that sounds right. What's 2+2 again? And these are the bozos always talking about the importance of education.

I like incentives, but this is what happens when instead of tax breaks for incentives, the government gives checks or rebates. THEY RUN OUT OF MONEY! President Obama set aside $1 Billion for the program that went into effect in the past week. It was to run through November or until the money ran out. Well, it ran out on July 30. That's almost November. Yeah, only if half the pages in your calendar fell out. There are deals all over the country waiting to be finalized based on money being added to this program. The House of Representatives voted to appropriate $2 Billion more to help those pending deals through and encourage more in the future. So that should keep the program going for what, another 2 weeks? This comes on the heels of the government suspending the digital TV transition from last February til June because they ran out of money to cover the two coupons for which each household can apply. If they can't budget for TV's and cars, what makes anyone think they can come up with appropriate funds to insure healthcare for the over 300 million people in this country? I wish I could trade in our clunker of a president & get $ 4,500.

SENATOR BABY DADDY

(8-17-09)

Reports say that paternity test shows former North Carolina Senator and Democrat Vice Presidential candidate John Edwards is the father of the child in question from his affair. The lie is finally over. I can only imagine that her children and her illness are the only things that prevent Mrs. Edwards hasn't beaten this creep and tossed him out of the house yet. My main regret from this story is that the paternity results won't be released on the "Maury Povich Show." That would have been worth every penny it would cost to make it happen, just like a $400 haircut.

HEY, BABY, WANNA STIMULATE MY PACKAGE?

President Obama and his French counterpart Sarkozy worry about the bottom line at the G8 Summit in Italy. The pair seemed to gaze at the rear of this woman who turned out to be a 16-year old from Brazil there for educational purposes. Next time he does this Michelle may sling that $6,000 purse at his empty head.

COMMENCE TO UNDERSTANDING

President Barack Obama made his controversial visit to Notre Dame and gave the commencement speech tot he Class of 2009 in South Bend, Indiana, on May 17, with a few brief interruptions from protestors. Regarding heated disagreements, the President said the following on how to arrive at common ground:

"The question then is how do we work through these conflicts? Is it possible for us to join hands in common effort? As citizens of a vibrant and varied democracy, how do we engage in vigorous debate? How does each of us remain firm in our principles, and fight for what we consider right, without, as Father John said, demonizing those with just as strongly held convictions on the other side? ... Each side will continue to make its case to the public with passion and conviction. But surely we can do so without reducing those with differing views to caricature."

These are fine questions to ask. My only problem with Obama asking these questions is that he has no answers for them. Demonizing the opposition is something Obama and his helpers are very good at. Just ask Sarah Palin, Joe the Plumber, Rush Limbaugh, and the Tea Party Protesters.

President Obama addressed the abortion issue itself shortly thereafter saying this:

"Maybe we won't agree on abortion, but we can still agree that this heart-wrenching decision for any woman is not made casually, it has both moral and spiritual dimensions. So let us work together to reduce the number of women seeking abortions, let's reduce unintended pregnancies. Let's make adoption more available. Let's provide care and support for women who do carry their children to term. Let's honor the conscience of those who disagree with abortion, and draft a sensible conscience clause, and make sure that all of our health care policies are grounded not only in sound science, but also in clear ethics, as well as respect for the equality of women. Those are things we can do."

I find it laughable that the man who, as one of his first acts as President, signed an executive order to fund family planning that included abortion services to women in foreign countries would talk about wanting to reduce abortions. Making adoption more available, providing education to help reduce unintended pregnancies, and helping women who choose life for the baby will do some good in reducing abortions. That all gets wiped away when the government is willing to not only allow (seemingly without any restrictions if you look at Obama's political record) but to also fund abortions with money from taxpayers who oppose such a procedure. Is that not the definition of hypocritical?

He concludes that portion of his speech thusly:

"Open hearts. Open minds. Fair-minded words. It's a way of life that has always been the Notre Dame tradition."

Nice try, Barry, but about what part of abortion or many other issues do you have an open mind? Open hearts allow you to argue your position without spewing hatred on the person you disagree with. Open minds don't apply to every situation. You're pretty much either for abortion rights or against them. Opening your mind too much will make your brain turn to mush and anything you've ever learned will fall right out of that opening. How can you ever make a final decision if your mind is as open as Mr. Obama claims it should be?

There are certain circumstances and exceptions reasonable people on each side of thise debate would concede. Most pro-lifers would understand and even condone abortion in the cases of rape, incest, or to save the mother's life. Most pro-choicers would be against late-term abortions and would save the life of a baby born alive in a failed abortion. That is except President Obama. He famously spoke of the slippery slope that such legislation would have on restricting a woman's right to choose. As if allowing a baby living outside the womb to die because the mom chose to abort it isn't a slippery slope toward what all people would consider infanticide.

All-in-all, the people who wanted to hear Obama got their wish, and those who didn't want this to happen stood up for their beliefs and did their own thing without much incident other than some shameful arrests of people praying on a

Catholic University campus. Imagine the gall to come to Notre Dame of all places and pray! What a silly concept. It was all peaceful, and now it's all over. We can all thank God for that.

LET'S COMMENCE TO PROTESTING

Sunday is the big day for many people in South Bend, Indiana. It’s commencement day at Notre Dame University. Many will be commencing toward their first steps into the real world while others will be passing through to further education. Some will just commence to protest against the speech of President Barack Obama due to his views on abortion. So long as the protests are not disruptive and don’t endanger anybody, I’m all for them. Protesting against anything President George W. Bush did over the past eight years was always said to be the greatest form of patriotism, so I don’t see why protesting President Obama would be any different. The First Amendment applies to all of us, doesn’t it? While I agree with the protest, I don’t know if I would boycott my own graduation ceremony if I was presented with the same situation. I might have booed the President, but I worked hard for those four years, so I don’t think I could forego my public recognition of that hard work. It’s as much for the parents and family members of the students as it is the students themselves. So, protesting a commencement is a bit dicey in my mind. Just keep it safe, and make sure your message is heard. So long as you’re staying true to your beliefs and not harming anyone else, you’re doing the right thing.

JACK KEMP

1935-2009

The nine-term congressman, former VP nominee, and former Buffalo Bills quarterback passed away over the weekend. He was a good man who understood economic growth. I had the pleasure to hear him speak in person while I was a student at Loyola shortly before he acccepted Bob Dole's invitation to be part of the Republican Presidential ticket in 1996. He spoke of creating wealth rather than sharing it. It's not about forcing ownership but allowing for the opportunity for as many people as possible to own capital. It's not about more taxes but more tax payers. More taxes stunt economic growth. Facilitating economic growth makes for more jobs which creates more taxpayers bringing in more revenue to the government without burdening people further. That along with fiscal responsibility at the federal level leads to balanced budgets and properly funded programs. It's a simple message that seems lost to most of those in power now. I hope that Mr. Kemp's passing brings those ideas back into the forefront. May God bless his family during this difficult time and may Mr. Kemp rest in peace.
